This steep sided punch bowl with intricate blue and white decoration of alternating powder ground reserves with calligraphic decoration, and Chinese style floral panels, a diapered rim, and an interior with stylized vines was clearly executed by a talented decorator. As with many delft objects, though probably of English origin, an argument could also be made for Dutch manufacture. The shape indicates a date c. 1720.
